Everything Is Exploitable [Poem] by Michael Marrotti

I wanted her
to suck the
boredom out
of my soul
it’s been
lingering for
years now
like my
x-girlfriend
who became
a stalker

I wanted to be
the one who
declined her
advances
she needed to
taste something
besides the
sweetness
of a predictable
outcome

Once the
opportunity
fell into
my hands
I ruined it
on purpose
a disaster
is what
I needed

She ended up
saying yes
in the end
I fucked her
the wrong way
on purpose
it was only I
who enjoyed
an orgasm

It was
blatantly
obvious
she only
fucked me
because
of my title

How’d it feel
to be stuffed
by a selfish
mediocre poet
who exploited
your body and
wrote about it

Michael Marrotti is an author from Pittsburgh, using words instead of violence to mitigate the suffering of life in a callous world of redundancy. His primary goal is to help other people. He considers poetry to be a form of philanthropy. When he’s not writing, he’s volunteering at the Light Of Life homeless shelter on a weekly basis. If you appreciate the man’s work, please check out his book, F.D.A. Approved Poetry, available at Amazon.
