Aubade – Poem by Bill Wolak

Night vanishes

suddenly

like a dancer

shifting her weight

as she steps

out of a black leotard

to reveal her naked flesh

pale as headlights

illuminating

an iced-up

windshield.

Bill Wolak is a poet who has just published his fourth book of poetry entitled Warming the Mirror with The Feral Press.  He has published poems in Nefarious Ballerina, Sister Ignition, and Meat for Tea.  His forthcoming book, Whatever Nakedness Allows, from Cross-Cultural Communications consists of erotic haiku with erotic illustrations by Cheryl de Ciantis.   Mr. Wolak teaches Creative Writing at William Paterson University in New Jersey.
